Review of Joanna (05/07/2012) : We went once, since then we have tried to go to Knokke Out in Waterloo on 3 or 4 occasions and on every single occasion we have been turned away, being told exactly the same thing – we are not regulars. It’s been the same bouncer each & every time.
However, as I asked the eldest bouncer on the door, IF you don’t ever let us in, how on earth do we ever BECOME regulars?!
I noted the younger bouncer looked rather embarrassed so maybe he would have preferred just to say, ‘Sorry, it’s just too busy and for Health & Safety reasons we can’t accept any more people into the club’. That, as a reason, I would have accepted.
BUT to give me a whole load of bullshit and then to try & suggest that I was a ‘regular’ and so was my attractive female friend (who has never been to the club by the way), but that my OWN husband was not - an amazing show of male discrimination!
I would also suggest that it would be a monumental feat of memory to recognise each and every single one of those, say 1000 people, who were at the venue that night, unless he has some form of autism I am unaware of and is in fact an ‘idiot savant’. Surely, if the man has such a memory then he could be earning a lot more money touring the world or performing in LA showing off his amazing mental agility skills and not working as an aging bouncer in a nightclub.
All we wanted was a few drinks & a bit of a dance to celebrate my husband’s 38th birthday - is that too much to ask?
I’ve now officially given up attempting to go there and I advise others not to even bother.
Review of Speciose (02/07/2012) : Difficile à localiser, arnaque au niveau boisson (réservation all in et pour servir cocktail,plus de menthe, plus de martini et on ne propose rien d'autre, soi-disant qu'on est venu tard (!!ouvert jusque 4h) et après réclamation on nous sert des glaçons (avec quelques gouttes d'alcool en guise d'apéro. Quant au nombre de bouteilles de boissons dues (all in pour 20 personnes), ils ont tout fait pour brouiller le décompte .Repas froids et non variés .Desserts très bons et variés.

LA CLE DES CHAMPS
Anne and Bernard have renovated the scene. It remains in warm colors of Provence, of course, but the result is gaining in discretion, with brand new furnitures. The regular clients won’t be disoriented, the newcomers better have to discover this address. The menu remains extremely attractive with foie gras, cassoulet, quail, coq au vin, not to mention the incredible lunch at 15 euros. Don’t miss the wine selection, because some are true discoveries.
